Wow, almost 3 weeks following the Zone diet. I have lost at least five pounds, and I feel great. My energy levels have increased, I am not hungry, and I have less headaches and joint pain.
One of the things I was curious about that I found an answer to on the Zone website is the lower amount of pain in my body. It turns out that the Zone follows a plan that helps lower inflammation by providing the proper food to allow it to decrease.
What a great benefit!
I am beginning to notice that I can bend over easier, and I can walk quickly up the stairs without becoming breathless. I can also jump without feeling like my belly is flopping all over the place.
I even played “Frisbee” with my neighbor the other night. He commented on my energy level and how he had never seen me run before. I laughed and told him that I just learned how.
Anyhow, that was an interesting night.
It turns out that he has wanted to meet me…well, I mean, befriend me. Of course we had met, just never really talked before.
So, the other night, I was sitting on my porch, and he came over to talk. He told me that he thought I looked like I wanted company. (I did, but I wouldn’t admit that to him), so I said, “I think you want to be company.”
And then, before I knew it, we were playing “Frisbee.”
Since then, I have seen him two other times, and I am beginning to like him…a lot. That kind of scares me, because I am not very confident with myself. I still feel fat, but not as bad as a couple of weeks ago. At least now I feel like I can move without wobbling and bend over without gasping.
Well, Robert (that’s his name) and I will be going to a movie this weekend. I already told him about being on the Zone plan. It turns out that he has a sister who used it, and she was very successful with it. She still uses it once in a while for the convenience of saving time.
I do have a vacation coming up in a couple of weeks; maybe I should ask the Zone people about missing a few days.
I also think I will ask them about how long it should take me to reach my goal. At the rate I am going, I may reach it in a couple of months.
I guess I better go make dinner…that is, heat up my fabulous meal of Herb Crusted Scallops on Wilted Greens and Long Grain Rice. Later, I get to have Black Forest Truffle…and they call this a diet.
I am really enjoying this, and I could probably eat this way for the rest of my life. But I have to admit, I am still amazed at how good the food is and how I am not always hungry. What a way to lose weight.
