In 2009, just about everyone has a blog. Even people who have nothing important to say at all seem to have a blog that gets updated at least once per day. If you are considering starting a diet food delivery program, you may also be thinking of starting your own blog so you can chronicle your experience for the world to see. Starting a blog takes a lot of courage since you are opening yourself up to criticism, but when you consider just how many people you may be able to reach and help with your thoughts, most people decide that starting a blog is the right choice.
As tempting as it is to simply jump right in and begin talking about your day to day weight loss battle, it is important that you start your blog with some background. Tell people about yourself, and the battles you have won and lost in the past. Don’t get too personal, you don’t want your potential fan base to show up on your doorstep, but the more you feel comfortable telling people, the better chance you have of people finding and connecting to what you have to say.
To begin your blog, you should decide how often you want to post and stick with that number. If you can provide a fresh post once per day at a particular time, people will begin to get into the habit of checking in on you like clockwork. If you can’t post on a particular day, make sure you put a warning or some kind of notice up or you can alienate your fans. Treat the people who take time to read your blog and comment on it with respect and they will, for the most part, treat you the same way. There will always be people who will troll any blog just to get a rise out of the person. Ignore them and continue posting.
Once you feel ready to start talking about your diet, make sure you are even handed and honest. If your diet food delivery plan is satisfying and tasty, make sure you share that, but be careful when giving praise or criticism. It is important to be honest and share the things you like and the things that need fixing. If you are only critical or only positive, your blog will come off as nothing more than a cheap publicity stunt.
Finally, it is important to stick with it. Your blog may be going for weeks or even months and you may only have a few hardcore readers, but blogs can catch fire with little warning and you may wake up the next day an Internet celebrity, all due to diet food delivery.
