Today has been spent cleaning up from the party - one that went better than I ever thought possible. With both my brothers, my three sisters, all their spouses and children, mom, dad, my husband’s parents, and his brother and family, we had quite a yard full. Thankfully it was a nice sunny day and not too hot. The more mild September temperatures were beautiful for a party.
One thing I will say, I was right about all the questions, but I was wrong about the tone they might take. Everyone was amazed at how much weight I have lost in so short a time, and even more so at my husband and what he has done in just over a week. That stinker lost 5 pounds his first week on Medifast!
I know, men generally lose weight easier and faster than women, but the fact that he already lost one forth of his goal to lose, almost bothered me. I had to really fight it off and make myself act like a grown up and be happy for him. I corrected my attitude, and then, when I got on the scale this morning, I was totally over it. I lost an amazing 5 pounds in the last week myself! That brings my total weight loss up to 26 pounds!
I guess changing to the Enhanced plan made a big difference for me. I must have really needed that boost that the Omega 3 supplement has given me, and the change in the food. I am so excited!
Tomorrow, I am going shopping with my mom and my sister, who are both also doing Medifast. I plan on buying only a few new clothes, because I know that I’ll need new clothes again a few pounds from now. I do plan on buying at least two pairs of pants, and three blouses. I also want to surprise my husband with some pretty night time things. All I have to wear to bed now is nighties that I swim in. I know that sounds like a complaint, but believe me, it’s not! I am thrilled to be able to say that none of my clothes fit me, and not because I outgrew them, but because I am the incredible shrinking woman for once.
When mom called me this morning, she was so happy. She said that she was down 4 pounds, and my sister was down 3 pounds. They are both so happy with Medifast. They decided to both enroll in their own plans now that they know they like it and that it works for them. According to mom, she decided to go with the Enhanced Plan, after the difference it made for me.
It has been so long since I went clothing shopping, and actually tried the clothes on before I bought them. I am always too depressed about the size I need, to let the dressing room clerk see it, so I have been buying clothes, taking them home to try them on, and if they don’t fit, donating them because I am too embarrassed to take them back.
Now, I plan to go in the mall, find the shop I want to look in, and try on anything I like. I just hope I have gone down at least a whole size, for real.
