It has been four days since my husband started Medifast, and I have heard only positive remarks from him. I started my new Medifast Enhanced program yesterday, and I love it. The food, snacks, shakes, and bars are just as delicious as the regular program I had been getting, and the addition of the Omega 3 supplement has me excited about becoming even healthier. Oh, and I lost another 3 pounds, bringing my total loss up to 21 pounds!
My baby turns two next week, and I am sort of beginning to feel the itch to have another child. I know, I planned to wait until I lose all the weight, and I still plan to, but the desire is growing and I will really have to concentrate on losing weight and getting healthier. I guess that can be my incentive, being healthy, thin, and in great physical shape to be pregnant. This time, I plan on keeping up with exercising and toning all through the pregnancy.
My sister called me yesterday and said that her Medifast diet food had arrived. She was telling me how excited her and mom were when they were looking at all the delicious food, and the information pack that came with it. She doesn’t need to lose as much as I did when I started, but she does want to lose at least 30 pounds. Mom’s goal is 45, pretty close to what I have left to lose and be at my goal weight.
Now, planning a party around Medifast. I know that if my husband and I band together we can do fine. We can have a great party with all the relatives, and still stick to Medifast eating. It will just take some planning and some emotional preparation, at least for me. I have more family that will come than he does, and my family tends to ask a lot of questions. I haven’t told any of my other siblings about Medifast, and I am sure they’ll notice a little change has happened in me in the last 6 weeks.
Anyhow, mom said that I should just concentrate on planning a great party, and not worry about what everyone might say. I know she’s right.
So, the theme will be princesses, with games centering around playing dress up. Fun stuff for little girls. My son, almost 4, will of course be the prince. With lots of little cousins ranging in age from one to ten, they are sure to have a wonderful time. Eating will be part of the party, but not the central part. I guess my husband plans on having appetizers of kid friendly food cut in a fancier way, so the kids will think they are eating special food. I am curious to see how his plans work out.
For the adults, he plans on having food we can eat from our lean and green meal, and also other finger foods that they will all like. I guess the more I think about it, the more excited I am getting. Maybe I was being silly to think there might be lots of questions and comments that might bother me. Mom’s right, it isn’t worth worrying about.
