What a week!
We went away for a get away weekend without the kids. But the real fun began before we got out of the house. I weighed myself the morning my parents were coming to the house, and guess what?!
I had lost 15 pounds! I measured myself, and I had lost a total of 20 inches. Two of them from my waist. Wow! I am still amazed, and I know that in the last few days I have lost even more.
When my mom came in the door, she just stopped and stared at me. My dad bumped right into her, almost knocking her over. I said “What?”, with a slight smile of course.
She put her hand over her mouth and pulled herself together. I knew there was a difference since the last time I saw them, but this reaction was great.
She said “ You look wonderful!” I hadn’t told them that I was losing weight, so they weren’t expecting it. Dad looked at me, picked me up and swung me around. Then my mom told me, that she could see a true weight loss, but what surprised her even more was my complexion and my overall demeanor. She said I had a sparkle to my eyes, and a glow to my hair and skin that hadn’t been there in years.
I then told them about Medifast. Because it’s a healthy diet to follow, all the necessary nutrients are there. I am getting more nutrition than ever, and the food is great.
When I had mom alone for a few minutes, I told her about how well my husband and were doing with our relationship. I told her about all his support, and how he tries to help me with whatever I need to do with Medifast and exercise. I also told her that we felt like newly weds again, and that’s why we wanted to have a night alone.
When we left the house, we went right to the town we were going to be staying in. But, instead of going to the bed and breakfast, he took me to a pond and stopped the car. I asked what he was doing, not sure what to expect. He put his arms around me and told me “Thank you!” He then pulled out a beautiful diamond heart necklace, and put it on me.
He said, “I have always loved you, and I will always love you no matter what. But I wanted to thank you for showing me your love for me, by taking care of yourself.” Wow! Tears, again!
Now, it has been a few days since we came home, and I am still madly in love, still awed by my life, and still determined to keep on going, with Medifast, and making my marriage better than ever.
Sometimes, I think that life couldn’t possibly get any better than this, and then, the next thing I know, it gets even better.
Thank you Medifast! I am sure to reach my goal weight and stay there, with the help of Medifast and my husband.
