My husband and I started walking together just a couple of days ago. Maybe this is another way he has decided to support me. One big benefit with that is, we get a few minutes alone each day. I have a neighbor girl come over and watch the kids. They love it, she loves it, and we are building our relationship.
Medifast is helping in more than one way, it has helped me get a new perspective on my life, and I am loving it. I weighed myself on the 10th, and I have lost about 5 pounds so far. My pants are loose, and I can actually see my feet when I look down. Yesterday, when my three year old son climbed up on my lap, he looked at me with surprise. I said “What’s wrong honey?”
He put his little hand on my belly and said “You don’t feel all mushy anymore!” I had to stifle a laugh, and actually began to tear up. He was the first to acknowledge that I am changing. Maybe not as fast as I wanted, but faster than most diets would allow.
Then, last night, my husband and I were cuddling in bed. When he was over me looking down at me, he suddenly laughed. I asked what was so funny. He said, “You are taking up less room, and your belly is flat. You are beautiful!” Again, the tears began to come.
When he looks at me, I am beginning to see that old sparkle. I know it isn’t all because of the weight loss. We have been talking more and spending more alone time with each other. But I am sure that my changing body, along with my changing mind and attitudes towards him have all worked together to bring about the change in him and our relationship.
Medifast has been wonderful. I ran into a slight problem with one of the snacks. It wasn’t what I had ordered, and I actually don’t care for the fruit it was made with. When I called, they immediately credited my account, and said it would be replaced with my next order. What service, with immediate action that I can live with.
The forums I joined have been helpful too. The information that is available would probably answer any questions I might ever come up with. Since this is my third week, and I am happy with the program, I decided to join the automatic renewal program offered by Medifast. That means that my order will be renewed each month, without me having to make out a new order, until I decide to end it.
This weekend, my husband and I will have a night to ourselves. My parents are driving up to stay with the kids while we go to a bed and breakfast for a couple of days. I can hardly wait to see them. I haven’t seen them in about 6 months.
I wonder if they will notice the difference Medifast has made in me so far?
